Safety
Zero lost time injuries since day one
Walton Mechanical Group has operated since 2021 with zero lost time injuries, on site and in the workshop. Safety is how we keep the work coming.
Mining and civil operators do not hand their sites to contractors who treat safety as paperwork. They want crews who turn up ready, work to the site rules and go home in one piece. Since Walton Mechanical Group started in 2021, we have done exactly that, with zero lost time injuries across our workshop and every field job.
How we keep that record
- Every mechanic and operator is inducted and site-compliant before they step on your operation
- Current competencies, tickets and verifications kept up to date for the work we take on
- Plant maintained and presented to mine spec, with ROPS, emergency stops, extinguishers and signage on our service trucks
- Public liability and workers compensation cover
- Job and hazard awareness built into how the crew works, on site and in the workshop
- We work to your site's safety management system, not around it
Safety is good business
A safe job is usually a well run job. The same habits that keep people safe, planning the task, looking after the gear and not cutting corners, are the ones that keep plant in the production cycle and your schedule on track. That is why safety sits at the front of everything we do, not in a folder.
Looking after country and community
Being a local, family owned business means we have a stake in the places we work. We work to minimise our impact on the country we operate on, and we back the South West community we are part of.
